What is Google AMP? And How does it work?

How does AMP work?

While designing a page with an AMP framework, you don’t have the freedom of using whatever tag or element you want. You can call it a subset of the regular HTML 5 you use for developing the outline of a webpage. The same goes for the CSS section; you cannot use any CSS class you want, and you will use some custom CSS available in AMP documentation. One more thing about CSS, you have to use inline CSS for AMP. Full form CSS won’t work with it, and it’s reasonable too. The JavaScript file is the wizard of your webpage that does most of the magic. There are tons of third-party JS that you can use if you want your site to be more functional and interactive. However, with AMP, you cannot use any third party JS files at all, and that’s reasonable too. Bigger JS files cause most of the loading time to get slower. AMP gets you it’s own JS library to use on your website, and there are restrictions on using custom JS as well.
